Yes, we finally made it to the amazing land of the Bible! This is us,
Gwynn & Pooka, in a boat on the Sea of Galilee! THE SEA OF
GALILEE!!!
We went with our new church here in Idaho and had an amazing time. We saw so much, did so much, we are still processing it.
Oh Jerusalem! The city of the great King! I wanted to cry over it as did our Lord...
As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it and
said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you
peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes. The days will come upon you
when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you
and hem you in on every side. They will dash you to the ground, you and
the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on
another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.”
Luke 19:41ff
Our first sighting of the old city, coming in on the road from Jericho,
near the Mount of Olives, was the huge golden Dome on the Rock! What an
abomination... a late arriving interloper comes in with the sword and
lays stake to God’s city! A true atrocity. Very sad.
But Jerusalem was still spectacular. It is still God's city. On our
last day we were able to visit a place that simbolizes God's victory
over all who come against Him:
